Duwo Festival / Sail Tomini

Nike fish also known as Duwo fish, this endemic fish only can be found at 2 place in the world, at France and Indonesia’s Gorontalo, at France this fish only can be found once a year, but at Gorontalo this fish only appears during the dark months in several points of the Tomini Bay waters.

According to the research, this fish only 1 cm in size and has higher protein and fat so it is good for health especially for children. This fish was famous among the local because it taste good when cooked in anyway.

In the Duwo festival, visitors are presented with a view at night when the fisherman catch fish that starts with a special procession until the fish arrive at the shore.
